Motor mounts

I have a 4jh3e yanmar and I'm going to replace all 4 motor mounts. Looking for mounts made of 316 stainless. Research I'm finding does not give good details. Can anyone help with this?
Thanks s/v checkmate

Re: Motor mounts

I am not so sure that 316 SS would be the best materiel for motor mounts. Stainless needs to breath to prevent crevis crack corrosion , and may be brittle in a high vibration application. Also not sure about how the rubber cushions would adhere. from my experience, Ellebogen makes a superior mount , why not ask them for an opinion.

There is no (good) reason engine mounts need to be stainless. If you have so much saltwater spraying around that you think stainless engine mounts are needed, FIX THE DAMN LEAKS. There is no (good) reason a boat's engine room should be a corrosive environment. Salt water should stay INSIDE the hoses and piping.

Yes, I can point you in the right direction for stainless steel mounts that are actually an improvement on the original yanmar mounts, they’re made by a company called “Oceanic innovations” and have a strap that holds the engine to the bed should the boat be inverted, something that was lacking with the original classic yanmar mounts. There’s a Youtube channel called “sailing Rumi” and the owner does a video of installing these mounts.
