Mustang 3200 fuel range

Looking at a mustang 3200 with twin 220 hp Volvo petrol engines.
Can anyone please tell me anticipated cruise speed and consumption.
Live in the Whitsunday island area and concerned the 500litre tank is not enough

Try the Mustang forum on facebook, a few different size mustangs there. Mine is a 3800 so not really relevant to your question but 500l is not going to get you a real long way at any great speed.
It really depends what you are wanting to do. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1691732271044276/

Re: Mustang 3200 fuel range

Don't know the Mustang but once owned a slightly smaller powerboat with slightly smaller engines. If I pushed the speed up to 40-45 kts I burned close to five liters per mile. Speed down to minimum, clean plane, about 25 kts I burned closer to three liters per mile.

Based on your boat and engines I'm guessing your max speed 35-40 kts, clean planing speed 20-25 kts. Fuel burn maybe a liter per mile higher than mine so range about 100 nm.

If you run the boat at 5-6 kts displacement speed your range would be at least 3-4 times more.

Proberly OK in Whitsundays but might be limited if you were looking at the outer reef.

Anyone know actual fuel burn in litres/NM ??
