Mysterious Water Leak

Hi,
I've now got my venerable Volvo 2003T working pretty well. I found the solution to my overheating problems on oldmarineengines.com (Its a bit sad when technical tips for your motor is on an enthusiast site for antique engines). She starts with 3 seconds of cranking and runs nicely. I have one last problem, water slowly enters the boat when the engine is working. Its not the shaft seal, as that's new and I can see its not leaking. There's no exhaust detectable inside the boat, so I don't think its a leak in the exhaust pipe. I can't see where its coming from and it is fairly frustrating.
I'm thinking the problem must be leaking from the raw water cooling circuit, but I can't see it. Any tips on chasing this kind of thing?
cheers
JMB

Look at where the transmission cooling enters the transmission.

You must be psychic

Rick,
nice tip. I just checked and there is a broken pipe clamp on the transmission cooling connection. I bet that is where the problem is. Thanks for that!
cheers

For $10 I can give you the winning lottery numbers. That break at the transmission is not an uncommon problem with the 2000 series.
