Could I also get the PDF with diagrams on the Lucas CAV pump type?

I have a 1984 Perkins 4-108 with the Bowman heat exchanger. It has the fuel injector pump similar to the one on page N8 in the workshop manual. It is a Lucas CAV hydraulically governed (early and current) DPA pump type described in the manual.

Is this part number 3247F190, and if so is it the subject our your article?

I too have a fuel leak at the throttle shaft on my Perkins 4-107.
Should this be repaired by a professional?

The seals for the throttle arm is just two small o rings. The fuel pump is a CAV DPA injection pump - widely used in tractors, boats "London Taxi's" and billions of other applications.
You will need a cover gasket set - Just search Google for "cav dpa top cover gasket" and you will find plenty of offers.
It is very important that when you lift the cover that you make some photos or notes of which holes the springs is fitted so that your pump remains with correct settings.


If the space is not too limited around your engine, this job is easy to do without removing the pump.
