Need engine mount identification, please.

Greetings to all,

Reinstalling my 2qm15 yanmar engine I managed to destroy one of the rear engine mounts (excessive force + siezed bolt = expensive mistake), so I need to find a new or used replacement for it.

There is no brand name on the mount, only the number "M5". I found a pic of the same engine mount on the web but it doesn't give a maker's name or any other info.

Does anyone know what brand they would be? Or where I might be able to get a new or used one from?

Thanks,
bony.

Re: Need engine mount identification, please.

Hi Shaky Doug,

Thanks for the reply.

No they are not Polyflex mounts, it turns out they are called "Globe Ever-Stay Motor Mounts" made by Globe Rubber Products.

I wrote to Defender.com, ( Defender.com Search Results: Eng020A )the only company that had some advertised on the web, but they tell me that they've sold out of stock and that Globe no longer make engine mounts!.

So that leaves me with the problem of finding new mounts that are comparable to my existing Ever-Stay M5's which are 1.5 inches high with mounting hole centres at 3.25 inches. I was really hoping that somewhere, someone might have an Ever-stay M5 lying around that they'd didn't need and were willing to sell it to me.

Cheers,
bony.

Re: Need engine mount identification, please.

Hi Shakeydoug,

I contacted Polyflex and the have a mount no. (PM127(90) which is a replcement for the M5. Dimensions are pretty much identical, so I'll see if I can get one.

Cheers,
bony.
