Need Globe Impeller #

I have the new style pump Johnson F4B-903 10 24509-01 on my Yanmar 2GM20F. I ordered the cross reference for the old style impeller, and it is the wrong one. The one I need has the screw in the center. The impeller has the number 810 on it. It is not bad yet, but why temp it.

Anyone know which one I am looking for?

I know what your looking for. There are 3 impellers for the 2GM series. Why would you spend the extra on the globe? just curious?

I have found the answer. Globe impeller is BRC-06541!

Mind you this is for the o-ringed impleller.

Why the Globe? Well to get to my impeller:

1. Remove the stairs from the boat
2. I have to drain the anti-freeze
3. Disconnect the water heater
4. Remove the water heater
5. Remove the water pump

Now I can change the impeller. Only to reverse the whole procedure when putting it back on.

The regular impeller lasted 2 years without taking a set, so by upgrading to the nitrile, I might be able to streach that to 3. (I notice the difference in water flow as the impeller gets a set.)

I wish I could make the engineer who designed the engine compartment show me how he expected that to be done!

The oring impeller is the later YEU and YM style
It sounds like you need to cut an access panel from the side where you can reach in and remove the pump. Or extend the coolant hoses so you can set the water heater to the side.
