New Gearbox but got a rattle

Hi guys
Beneteau 393 with a Volvo D-55 engine. Clutch started to slip late last year. Cut a long story short replaced full gearbox.
She has a shaft drive so mostly enclosed right down to the P bracket.
All rectified and no issues.
Up to 1500rpm no worries.
When we get out of the river and open up say to 1800rpm there is a distinct rattle.
It’s rhythmic to a point but when below decks it’s hard to locate.
Engine mounts are all good and we have had her out of the water and can see nothing!
Any ideas?

When you say “replaced” was it purchased new from a certified dealer....or was it rebuilt?
If purchased new you should have a warranty....time to contact the dealer. If it was a rebuilt unit it should have been tested by the rebuilder...either way it appears it must be removed and returned for replacement or testing to establish the fault.
It’s possible you have a worn cutlass, bent shaft, etc. etc.. If a pro did the job for you get them back to assess the problem pronto.
