Nimbus 27E

Hi All
I came across this boat which is electrically powered. Which does 25 Knots.

Does anyone know anything about it. Sounds interesting.

Re: Nimbus 27E

Here's its website. Very expensive, nicely appointed for its size. They claim it has a 20 kn range at 22 knots on a 4-hour charge...that seems pretty impressive, but wouldn't work for everyone. Maybe mount 20 solar panels on it? ;-)

I was thinking it sounded quite pitiful and you have to wonder how much all those storage batteries weigh + motors and at what cost Vs Diesel engines and fuel?

Betcha the diesel engines come in many tens of thousands of dollars in front plus have a significantly greater range.
