Ocean Volt (or others) reliability?

Read much about the pros and cons of all-electric and serial hybrid (my favoured option) so don’t want to start a good vs bad debate on electric drives- everyone has their views!!
I do, however, want to solicit real life experience of how reliable the parts &systems are. MBTF type info (mean time between failure), nature of failure/ ease of fix, availability of expertise, information or replacement parts and support from the original vendors for those that didn’t diy.
Personally looking at new boat install, 45 ft mono. I’m guessing purpose built bespoke ‘clean’ system will be more reliable than retrofit, but who knows?
Thanks in advance

Re: Ocean Volt (or others) reliability?

The biggest failure points on a system seem to be either mechanical (the generator) or the batteries. Of the half dozen electric boats, including my own, none of them have had a problem with the motors or the controllers. Lithium is worth it, but puts a serious hurt on your wallet.
