Oil Change Perkins 4-154

As I sat in my salon rubbing my bruised ribs, I decided not to reinstall the drain plug back in the oil pan. It would require laying across my battery box, hanging down at an angle (ribs) and reaching under the tranny to access.

I plan to make a trip to a local shop and have an extension hose made. Not rocket science as much as an assist for a formerly flexible old codger.

After 2 trips for parts and a couple of hours upside down admitted defeat. Bell housing just to close to install hose fitting.

What size thread is the oil drain plug on the 4-154? I think I have room for a hose fitting but would like to have it on hand when I pull the plug.

It looked like 3/4 std pipe thread but I just brought it to the parts house, had hose made and bought fittings.
