Oil for MS 15LA gearbox /Volvo-Penta MD2040

We just finished the installation of the new gearbox!! The clutch of the old one went down,due to the vibratiion dampher failure. Well , the new one is in place.
But we've confused: What Oil should we fill? There is a sticker/lable on the body of the gearbox : "SAE 15W40 ONLY!". The manual says :" Fill "CD SAE 15W/40 ATF(Dexron II,III).
What should we use? I found Mobile ATF320 at the local shop.The gear is for the shaft drive. The boat is Alubat Ovni 34 .

It sounds to me like you can use either 15w-40 or ATF as they are different.
Never heard of 15w-40ATF. Suspect it's a typo but you could call Volvo
My GUESS would be to use 15w-40 oil if it's a mechanical gearbox as thats what lots use.
But it would be better to contact Volvo to find out for sure

Just looked it up & it says ATF Dexron II or III for the gearbox

The 15w-40 must be for the engine. My GUESS was crap sorry
