Old Diesel / Gas Stabilizer

Anybody know how long some of this stuff lasts?

I have a bottle of Diesel stabilizer/algaecide that is two years old and some Stabil that is a year old.

I know in the scheme of things it is cheap.

I don't use much fuel so a little goes on like that battery bunny.

How long do you keep yours before you throw it out and replace with new?

Your fuel treatments are OK if they will pour from the bottles. What we see when they become too old, they start to dry up.

Congratulation, this is my first posting (outside of my greeting).

I seem to remember a notation on a bottle saying it was good for two years after opening (Stabil diesel IIRC).

check the bottles for condition of fluid and for directions. they generally have something printed, although on a smallish bottle one might need a magnifying glass.

A duh moment.

My gas Stabil says good for two years after opening. Just in the text near the end - and I thought I read it all.

Will check stuff on boat...............
