Old Parsons Reducing Gear Oils

Hi,
I have 6cyl Ford with old Parsons Reducing Gear in my boat.
Could anyone please tell me what oil type is recommended for this gearbox?
It has two places for oil: the "main sump" with oil dipstick and smaller block in the end with brass nuts.
There is also oil cooler hoses connected and pressure gauge in this Parsons. Is it hydraulic gearbox?

Kind regards,
Tony
