Perkins 236 fit morgan OI 41

Hello, does anyone know if a perkins 4-236 will fit without modification of engine support stringers a 1981 Morgan outisland 41. Besides the 4-154 or 4-108 engines these boats came with can anyone recommend a replacement of a similar size so that I do not have too much modification to do. Thanks very much, John

Pretty much any engine you choose will require some modification unless you replace it with the same that's removed. The 4-236 is quite a bit larger than the 4-108 so I would imagine that the footprint is wider. You might be able to find someone with a 4-236 that will let you measure.
