Perkins 4.236 Location of temperature sender and sensor

All I am trying to figure out where my temperature sender and sensor are located on my Perkins 4.236. Does anyone happen to have this same engine and able to send a picture or describe where I can find it?

No, but Damn! this should not be difficult. The sensor/senders are small shiny metal cylinders, each with one or two wires exiting, and are located on the coolant circuit. They are screwed in with (usually) 1/8" pipe threads. They stick out.

Here's a picture of a temperature switch, as in idiot light.

Which version of the 4.236 do you have? In general, it is usually in the head behind the thermostat. It could be forward behind the header tank near the motor lift bracket and the sender would be vertically off the head (if this isn't used for one of the water heater take offs). If the sender isn't there, the port plug looks like a head bolt but not in the same configuration as the other head bolts. Our sender is on the back of the head end in a horizontal fashion with a single wire to the top of the small sender.

Didn't ever really look for them all, but there may be another sender port in the head. The threading in these ports are fine thread and typically need a coupler to pair the sender (coarse thread) to put into head port/hole.
