Installing the anti syphon vented loop after the heat exchanger, keep cooling raw water into the heat exchanger. The raw water will continue to absorb heat and prevent the inside of the tubes from drying and scaling.

The mixing elbow is another story and it is not possible to see where the exhaust pipe leads. It may be that there is not enough room to fit a water lock and a rising exhaust pipe can get dangerously hot. Boats.
