If this is a quiz, my guess is a 3gm..f

Depending of the horse power, could be 35, 30 or 35. My guess is 30.

You may need to do some more internet digging to confirm but my guess is a 3HMZK.

I see 3 fuel lines and everything seems consistent with a 3GM I'm leaning that way but I don't know what the HMZK looks like so another vote for 3.....?

This looks exactly like my 3GM30F except I have coolant that goes into a water heater. It looks like that coolant hose at the top returns back into the system for some reason. Seems you should be able to plug that and have one less hose, which would also give you better access to your oil fill.

That looks to be a nameplate under the top sheave.

Agree that there appears to be a name plate on the front of the block adjacent to the grounding wires. Looks like it is covered in grey paint. I'll bet if you clean that off you'll have your answer. I'm in the 3GMxxF camp.
