Seals usually fail when the bearing get sloppy & allow the shaft to wobble. There are 3 main bearing mfgs so many bearings are also used elsewhere. Take the bearing(s) to an auto parts store & they can look them by their size. The small bearing on my pump is also the transmission input shaft bearing on a Chevrolet. $6 vs $20 at the marine supplier.

Nice, will check it out for sure. It’s still pouring o my engine and my part is in Farjado. Got stopped in Athens and Caicos yesterday and will be leaving for PR as weather permits, skipping DR.
