Re power cost.

Hi,
has anybody purchased an engine from
http://www.inboardmarineengine.com
It’s actually an India site associated with possibly
http://www.techno.co.in/
A procurement site in India.
Engines would be shipped out of India apparently at your cost,
Everything looks like it’s bogus but has anybody actually tried or succeeded to make a purchase from them?
The site has been up with prices way too low for quite a while
Thanks
Warren

Re: Re power cost.

Don't do it.

Just call the manufacturers that they purport to represent and ask if they are legitimate.

Google the address and you will find a vacant lot in Indonesia.

Re: Re power cost.

Don't ever buy anything from any site that is not SSL. That is a huge red flag.

Re: Re power cost.

If they are a legitimate business, asking people to pay through their site, and they don't have an SSL certificate, then they're not worth doing business with regardless of their legitimacy.

http vs https.

Re: Re power cost.

Thanks, I get it ,
I have no intention to sent several thousand dollars to a website on the off chance some piece of machinery will show up months later! But people have been caught by much simpler scams!
However if somebody did try to communicate with the ‘supply house’ I would be interested in what they found out.
I am not currently looking for an engine but would like to learn from somebody else’s research.
Cheers Warren
