I would tend to go for the rebuild than new engine. Having owned a prout snowgoose, I would be more concerned with the sillette prop drive as they are no longer in production and parts will eventually not be available. The new engine will outlive the sillette.

Actually it’s a joint venture with Perkins and Ishikawajima Shibaura Machinery not Kubota
