Recovered electric boat motor

Hello everyone, I recently recovered an electric trolling motor from 100ft at my local lake. I tried to recover it just for fun but once I got it up I realized that it doesn't look that old. Since the motor and blades are designed to be underwater, just wonder if this is actually repairable, or worth tinkering with for fun. Can you just order a replacement kit for the electronics or should I just hang this on the wall for fun.

Thanks,

If it was me I'd hang it on the wall. I've got enough stuff that has problems that the idea of employing something that is questionable isn't in the cards for me. They're also not that pricey I don't think.

Might be work monkeying with it for a few hours and seeing how it works though.

I should add that I'm hardly the handiest person on this forum; some of the people who are might have a better opinion.

Corrosion really accelerates once it comes out of the water, so condition will really be based on how long it was underwater, but even more important, how long it was out of the water before you did anything to it, and also if the water was fresh or salt.
