Reverse Throttle Link on Yanmar

I replaced my Perkins 4107 with a rebuilt Yanmar 4JHTE. It is no secret that the throttle moves opposite to my action in the Perkins due to the way the cable is routed from the back rather than the front. The solution has been to build a new linkage or live with it. I talked to Edison about changing the action at the wheel and that is not possible. Any suggestions? Looks like the lever could be reversed at the injection pump, or I could make a link using aluminum or other metal.

I lived with it for years , and it sucked. When things get hairy last thing you want is to have to remember which way to push th throttle

Re: Reverse Throttle Link on Yanmar

Sorry hit send to early, I fixed my beta using the kit they have in stock. Both my tranny and throttle was wrong, go figure I fixed it for the new owner. Both your solutions will work, do the easiest one.
