Saildrive VP 120S-D coupled with MD2040

Anyone has got this combination of saildrive+ engine?

I try to make a long story short.
The rear suspension supporting the saildrive virtually came apart. Searching assemblies I found that the failing one was recommended for MD120S-D combined with the smaller MD2030 engine.

The assembly for the MD2040 suspensions instead shows a sort of lower steel support on top of which it is installed what looks like a regular rubber engine mount same as I have at the sides of the engine itself.
THe VP service is extremely slow and stingy on informations. By the same token their spares are extremely expensive.

I have decided to move on tired of waiting for an answer. Building the lower steel support shouldn't be a big issue but I would need a confirmation about its main dimensions, especially width and height.
THe height I can figure out by myself based on the actual needs but the width puzzles me.

In order to fit the slot in the steel ring which clamps the large rubber diafraghm the width (bow to stern direction) is about 45mm (1.8") but the base of the rubber engine mount on top should be 75mm instead (3"). Can anyone who has the same confirm or confute?

see schematic and attached pic

Thanx

The support bracket for the rear mount that you are describing is part # 861538. It is made from zinc plated rectangular steel tubing that is 60mm X 40mm with a 4 mm wall thickness. All four holes are 11mm diameter. The top and bottom surface should have a minimum flat surface of 24 mm in a fore and aft direction.

The side to side dimension of the lower surface is 140 mm and the holes on the lower surface are 108 mm apart.

The side to side dimension of the upper surface is 180mm and the holes on the upper surface are 140mm apart.

All widths and holes are equi-distance around the centerline of the piece.

Doug you are terrific! Thank you very much.

I assume the adjuster of the mount is an M16
Correct?
The tail of the saildrive sits on top of the
rubber mounting dome mating it surface to surface? Or is it suspendend by the adjuster?
Mine has a dome too big to fit the tail which has just a 90mm width.

Sorry for asking more

As shown in your attached parts breakdown, stud #32 should be screwed into the "dome" of the rear flexible mount. The hex nut on #32 is part of the stud, and the tail piece of the saildrive sits on this "nut". This should lift the tail piece up enough to allow the dome to clear the sides of the tailpiece.

I don't know the diameter of the thread off the top of my head....
