And FWIW, one injector appears to be serviceable but I will clean it and have it pop tested sometime in the future.

Mate, you are one persistant bugga. I'd hate to have you declare a vendetta against me!

Well done, and have a gin on me!

Now that's DIY with a vengeance. Glad you got them out with no damage. Bet the satisfaction quotient was pretty high on this one...

OK, the gin is done.

As for being a persistent bugga; I reckon it takes one to know one. You are, what, now cruising full time for some 25+ years and still on your first circumnavigation - now that is being real persistent in my book

Looking forward to seeing you and Ann this summer before you head west north again.

You are welcome; it's a good thread when good information is exchanged, the OP (me) is helped, others are helped and some (many?) are entertained to boot. Yes, I started it but it only achieved the other things when cruisers / sailors / landlubbers shared their knowledge and/or conversation in it.

He's a pro? If he were charging for his service, it would have cost a fortune. How many people could afford to have some guy experiment with electro displacement or whatever.

Where did you get that idea? Wottie is a semi retired helicopter/general aviation service provider, working here on a project boat of his own.

He, and I too for that matter, get(s) satisfaction from DIYing difficult jobs. Sometimes it is to save money, sometimes just to see if we can do it.

In this case, I think congratulations are more appropriate that castigation for time wasting and excess technology application.

Jim

I already said he was great. Question remains, how much did that cost? He must have spent weeks on this and as an ex mechanic charging people out the ass for his time, how much did that cost?

I am going to assume that english is not your native tongue, therefore your response may not mean what it appears to. If that is not the case, then your response is just plain ignorant.

Re: Seized Injectors - Need Ideas to Remove!

If one of you bone heads took your head to a machine shop, how much would you expect to pay to remove a couple of stuck injectors? I'm thinking he would need to have charged $500 for all that. That is all I was asking.
