Those flexible adapters may work, but nothing beats a firm shaft. Are you satisfied with the girth, or is length your only issue?

Do the shaft coupling holes line up precisely with the Perkins coupling ? If arranged on a different diameter dimension, you may not find a factory DriveSaver ( I couldn't ) and will have to have the shaft coupling redrilled to match.
