Source for acrylic in Toronto

Hi,
anyone know where to buy acrylic tubing (for a water strainer) in Toronto.
I need 4 1/2" OD, 4" ID x 6"

Bought from an excellent source 6 years ago for new hatch but cannot remember the name and cannot find online. Plastic World has the tube but requires a 6-foot tube as a minimum for $60. Seems wasteful in the extreme when i only need 6 inches.

Any ideas?
Thanks.

There are plastic stores in Scarborough and Mississauga but I forget their names. Should be easy to find on Google.

Try Jonhston Plastics in Etobicoke or Laird Plastics at Derry & Hurontario in Mississauga.

I doubt they will sell only the 6" though, most likely 1 foot, unless they have off cuts...

Thank you all for the suggestions. I will follow them up. Have done extensive Google searches and called companies but had no success. will certainly try Laird. 12" would be fine - it's to replace the "sight glass/acrylic" in my old Groco water strainer. Groco wanted US$80 for the 6" piece!

Re: Source for acrylic in Toronto

Thanks.
I have just completed 5 summers in Labrador. Great place, wonderful people. After a circumnavigation, Labrador should present no major problems though there are LOTS of things to hit. If I can help with anything - contacts, suggestions etc please let me know.

Thanks for the suggestion. Johnston is asking for $30 per FOOT min 6 feet - so over $200 with tax. Plastic World sells the same for $60, smae min 6 feet.

Re: Source for acrylic in Toronto

Laird doesn't have 1/4" thick. Piedmont requires a special order of 4 x 6 foot lengths.

Re: Source for acrylic in Toronto

Mcmaster carr sell a range of sight glass spares. Mostly industrial glass. I cant search their site on my phone so cant see if they have acrylic in your size.

The $60 price you've been quoted is good. Most other options, scientific and hydraulic, wont be any cheaper.
