Steyr Marine Engine Experience

Has anyone had experience with late model Steyr engines in the lower HP range especialy the ones that have the electric motor/ac gen built in?

I have owned an early model MO286 engine, which I beleive is still essentially the same, good engine, but very very hard to get parts and service or expertise that understands the engine. Its also very sophisicated ( though not so now).

Good engine but unusual. But I hard mine about 17 years ago.
