Ist the TMD31L-A also a re-badged and marinised Perkins engine? Is there a cheaper replacement for the OEM filter, eventualle directly from Perkins?

The 31 series engines were Volvo Penta designed engines and built at the Penta factory in Vara, Sweden.

Depending on which air filter it is fitted with, you might find an insert from NAPA, or perhaps K&N.
