To Isuzu or not to Isuzu

Hello to all you wise seafarers and armchair sailors alike! I am looking for meaningful input from the forum on whether it would be a reasonable idea to replace my 2 Yanmar 3GM30's with 2 C240 Isuzu's

I have a 44' Dean Cat and I am happy to and can afford to carry the extra 100kg per side, being the difference in weight between the Yanmar and the Isuzu.

Please hit me with your insightful reasoning!

Re: To Isuzu or not to Isuzu

The C240 is WAY obsolete, many parts are no longer available. Also, the marinization parts [ what company did the marinization?] are probably impossible to obtain. You should consider a modern diesel engine, with the latest technology, as it will be lighter, smaller, and run MUCH smoother & quieter than the old technology Isuzu. AND - no parts supply problems.
