Universal 5411 flywheel damper removal

I'm rebuilding my engine and need to replace the flywheel damper/flex plate.
The plate is rusted in pretty bad. The eight hex bolts are removed. It may be difficult to see in the photo, but the plate is mounted flush to the flywheel. Anyone wrestle with this part of a rebuild?
Also, photo didn't upload...???

Re: Universal 5411 flywheel damper removal

The trick is to take a large pry bar and work vigorously between spline hub until damper is free. Should work without any damage to flywheel assembly.
