Upcoming EV conversion parts list

Hey all,

After a summer of fiberglassing, misc wiring, and other non motor related boat projects it's time for me to put together a shopping list for my electric drive system.

Boat is a formosa 36 displacing ~22,500lbs. Engine being replaced is a Volvo md2b rated 18hp 52ft-lbs torque.

Below I'm going to try to link all the parts I've picked out so far in reasonable order but who knows if that'll work.

Motor kit

Motor mount/gearing/shaft coupling (1:1 ratio)

Batteries (*8 in 4*4 configuration for 48v 400ah)

Solar charge controller (already owned)

Solar array (8* on the bimini, already own 4)

... Pretty sure I didn't skip anything. If anyone can see an obvious flaw in my system please let me know. I'll try to attach power chart for motor too.

Old Volvo had 2:1 reduction and ~50ft lbs, new motor has no reduction and 100 ft lbs. Should cruise around 750 shaft rpms with 60 amp draw so I'm hoping that's close enough to old shaft rpms not to need a different prop...?

Oh yeah weight difference is around 200 lbs lighter overall after factoring in 60g diesel + tank + Volvo weight. Planned on mounting batteries in cabinet that used to house Volvo.

Also, obviously, the 60 amp/750 rpm cruising speed is ... optimistically reasonable. More power is there when needed.
