I believe that, Yanmar has a policy of dealer territory protection, which is strictly enforced.

Happy to be an intermediary, at the moment in northern California, if you find a dealer who is local or will ship here.

Post to Oz is not cheap, the flat-rate box that is 12"x12"x5 1/2" (30x30x14 cm) is US$108, if the parts you need are bigger than that shipping could get prohibitive.

If you need Yanmar GM or QM parts, try Hoye Tractor Parts (TX). They ship downunder!

Re: US Yanmar dealers who ship internationally

I have to ask the glaringly obvious question here, what’s wrong with dealing with the Australian Yanmar dealerships. I’ve had a lot of dealings with Minards in Newcastle over a 30 year period and never had a problem, not once, not ever.

If you really want to offshore your purchase, Singapore has a Yanmar dealership.

skipperpete the reason would be that if the Aussie Yanmar dealers are anything like the NZ ones the price locally is 2x the US price.

Re: US Yanmar dealers who ship internationally

I didnt know it was that bad, thanks for the tipoff Compass. I phoned em for some 3GM injector nozzles a while back and was startled by the price….. and we really get gouged with the price for the GM engine mounts…. I’m still grouchy about paying $au 500 EACH for liners for a 4LH rebuild…. And the same for the pistons with no rings. I see why the OP ‘s shopping around.

depending on excatly what you are needing, non-genuine parts might be the answer

have you costed sourcing via marine energy... https://www.marineenergy.com.au/

they are based at coomera. brought heaps of stuff from them over the years and thoroughly recommend

cheers,

Re: US Yanmar dealers who ship internationally

Thanks for the link ChrisR, I’m going to visit them before the weekend. Browsing their catalogue it seems they don’t do liners and pistons but they have other engine parts that I’m interested in. At the time of the 4LH rebuild I scoured the net for after market liners from the sites that list the 4JH liners at sensible prices but without success.
