The same thing with an extra step. The ship's engineer taught me. I thought he was crazy when he had a ballpeen hammer that was so small it looked like it came from a child's tool set. It worked great for the bolt holes.

Caution: Gasket Material may be too thick. I used photographic paper and it lasted for two years instead of purchase gasket

I have used a thn coating of permatex on both sides for years with NO problems. Works every time. Been doing this for 30 + years.

Just don’t grab that can of aviation form a gasket. It’s more like 5200 than a gasket. Requires physical separation to remove

I just received the following from C429sailor
1. The paper thin gasket for the pumps front cover.
2. A new unused metal pump cover.
3. The pump to engine gasket.

Thanks so much it will help in my repairs.

PS Now that I have 2 good gaskets, I am going use them as templates to make a few extras.
