Hi we have a MD2030B neutral rev should be 3900rpm, max operational rpm between 3200 and 3600rpm.

We can neutral rev to 3850rpm and underway in flat water 3350rpm.

Hope that helps

Re: volvo 2030

Hmmm, our MD2030B manual states that the "deregulation/high idle" speed is 3600rpm, and the WOT operating speed should be 3200-3600rpm.

This is the paper manual bought in 1998 when the engines were commissioned, and appears in every way to be the exact version that Gord links to - with the exception that our manual definitely states 3600rpm and not 3900 like it does in Gord's link.

The only other difference is that Gord's link says it is for the MD2030A/B/C models, and mine only says it is for the MD2030A/B models. Perhaps by the C model year, they had increased the max rpm?

In practice, it doesn't matter because one is shooting for operational WOT of 3200-3600 regardless.
