Volvo D1-13 sensors

Trying to figure out D1-13 sensors to make new warning light panel.
There is 2 water sensors, one is on exhaust side. This one have only one pin. I put there temp gauge and temp was 100c. What is correct temperature for this? engine is not overheating and fresh water side is still cold.Second sensor is with two pins, with this one i dident get readings on temp gauge. Is this sensor only for warning light?

Re: Volvo D1-13 sensors

As you have figured out, the alarm switch is the one with two wires. It is normally open, and closes when the temp is too high. It has two wires, the black is “earth” and the white/ brown connects to the alarm module.

The single wire sender is to drive a temp gauge. The resistance values and temps. are listed in the attached manual on page 28. Normally a light brown wire connects to it, and the wire can be found tucked into the harness nearby.

Wiring diagram for the engine is on page 100.
