The comment below is from a search for operating temp for D1-30F. Response was from a question and answer forum.

"Your thermostat doesn't even start to open until you reach 194 (90c) degrees and isn't fully open until 221 degrees (105c)
So if the motor seems a little high on the gauge that is perfectly normal Your operating temp will be very close to 225 degrees"

The comment below is from the D1-30 electrical manual. This would be the temperature at which the high temp alarm activates. Even though I run at 220-225F I have never had the high temp alarm go off.

"Fault condition
Coolant temperature exceeds +110 °C (+230 °F) for more than 15 seconds."

What year is your D1-30b? Have you checked your temp at cruising speed with a temp gun? My D1-30F is 2014 and the guy I mentioned previously has a 2016. I wonder what if and changes were made between the models that would have affected operating temperature?
