The yellow hose is coming off the top of your standard water pump">raw water pump and I think it goes to the side of the heat exchanger that cools the raw water with seawater or whatever fluid your boat is generally floating in. If you are in fresh water lakes you should have a system that lasts longer than in a sea water environment.
