Volvo MD11D Water Pump Question

i have a volvo md11d which is leaking water around the base of the sea water pump - i can't work out how to get the pump off - there are a couple of bolts holding plates which are holding the base but these don't release it .... there are several holes around the base but can't work out what these are for ... help !

similar - mine only has 4 screws holding the plate that covers the impeller and the actual pump shape is a little different - when i have undone the bolts at the base of the housing ( 2 ) i don't seem to be able to slide it off .... there are several v small holes spaced around the base of the shaft of the housing but they don't seem to be for grub screws or similar but am wondering what they are there for ....

Tellie - thanks for the diagram - have it worked out i think - was reluctant to give it a whack to get it moving but that worked - just comes off the shaft of course - hard to get a decent look at simple jobs on boats too ....
