Volvo MD22 will not rev

Good Morning ,
I am the owner of a 48 ft cat with 2 Volvo MD22 motors and volvo saildrives.
The problem I am having is when the port motor gets hot it will engage into gear but will not rev.
When cold, motor goes in and out of gear and can be reved up.
When hot motor will rev in neutral.
When hot motor goes in and out of gear at idle but when lever is pushed the lever on the pump moves forward but no revs.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Possibly (probably?) fuel starvation.
Tank vent clogged.
Pickup tube partially clogged.
Partially blocked fuel filter.

It is getting enough fuel when first started (i.e. cold) but by the time it is warm, the engine is trying to suck fuel but can't get enough. It doesn't need much fuel to rev in neutral.

To confirm, try providing a seperate temporary fuel supply to the engine. Simply a container of clean fuel and a hose.

Might be something else though
