Volvo Penta D2-40 Alternate parts list

Hi Folks


As a new Volvo Penta owner, it's insane how much more expensive their parts are compared to my experiences with Yanmar & Perkins.


However, I think a lot of that has to do with a lack of cross-reference to non-volvo parts that are identical but don't have the volvo part number.


I found this list in a catamaran thread, I believe it would be better here.


I also want to encourage others to post specs & details about other volvo parts so that we can continue to educate about alternatives.

So one other I just figured out:


Heat exchanger o-rings for the D2-40. Volvo Part number 3842016.
Common size is 63MMx3.5MM Nitrile.
