VP2003 injector sleeves

Come in either 10mm or 11mm. But nobody has ever been able to tell me which goes where. Someone said one is for fresh water. Taking the head off would show it. Even the Auckland agent didn't know. Anybody know?

Re: VP2003 injector sleeves

Changes in cylinder head design required different sleeves.

Up to engine serial number 2300046774 use sleeve part # 838061.

From engine serial number 2300046775 use sleeve part # 860267.

Why the change,.... don’t know. Don’t think it’s seawater/freshwater as late models used 860267 for both fresh and raw water cooling.

Could have been strength of head casting changes, failure of sleeves, etc.

Re: VP2003 injector sleeves

Wonder if related to series A and later B (modified combustion chamber, pump etc and perhaps biggest clue, no decompressor)
