Wanted to buy an used SD20 Saildrive

Hy,

I have bought the new Oceanis 38 this spring. I use it for charter in Black sea and after only 278 hours the new SD25 saildrive form Yanmar crashed. Acctually they replaced the old Drive Cone with a Torque Limmiter Assy...which seems to be impossible to find in order to replace it...all over the world.
The Engine 3YM30E sems to work perfect with the old SD 20 saildrive so untill the warranty will solve my problem with the sd 25 i want to replace it with an used SD 20. So does anyone has one and wants to sell it? I can arrange the transport from all over the Europe with my transport company so just hope i will find the product.

Thanks

Re: Wanted to buy an used SD20 Saildrive

Both the SD20 and the SD25 use a dog clutch, not a cone. The SD25 was just released this summer, so it may be a while for parts to get into the distribution system.

I don't understand what you refer to as a torque limiter assembly.

The Dog clutch in SD25 is not a consumable anymore...it just couple the transmission...the torque limiter assy is the new "cluch cone" and already makes problems..

There were 2 on eBay pretty cheap but the posting expired. I think he wanted 700. Maybe he will relist.
