Water in Fuel Tank

I have a Catalina 30 with 5411 Universal. 18 gallon diesel tank. No inspection port. There is some water in the tank, and growth. I have been doing the anti growth treatments for years. Water is well below the fuel pick up.
The question: Will using my extractor to pump the water out the tank cause any other problems I should be looking for?
Thanks a gallon!

Re: Water in Fuel Tank

I plumbed a tube going all the way to the bottom of the tank. Can extract water, or the entire tank with little difficulty.
