Welding Exhaust Manifold ?

I also have a Ford Lehman 6D380 (2714E) and was wondering how your adventure with the exhaust manifold turned out. With a 35 year old engine one is always waiting for the next shoe to drop and although I've not yet had a problem with my engine, I'm always wondering what I'd do ... if this or that happened. So I hope you'll share what you eventually did.

Pat,
I ordered a newly engineered manifold from American Diesel for about 2800, had it shipped down to La Paz where I was at the time and installed it. Installation was easy, and it works beautifully.

Glad that there is still the option of getting a new one from AD- takes away the worry about when the repair weld is going to fail. Thanks very much for responding.
