Re: What Make is This Filter ?

There are a few different NAPA filters, the NAPA Gold is an excellent filter, up there with Fleetguard, Mobil 1 K&N and some other premium filters.
Almost all OEM branded filters are actually pretty poor filters, and almost all of them change manufacturers pretty frequently. Ford, GM, Toyota and everybody else will buy from who meets their specs and gives them the best price

People remember barnakiel is in Italy. So remember American specific stuff doesn't necessarily apply.

The engine face side looks odd as it has only 4 of the small perimeter holes which are not round. They look exactly like this:

This far, Bosch 3500 FILTECH (equivalent) makes most sense, except 3500 Bosch OEM is longer.

remember when it comes to diesel oil filters bigger is better. ( larger canister means more filter media.)

Re: What Make is This Filter ?

Hi All:

Here's just one resource that everyone can use to source replacement filters:

Oil filter cross reference

I did a cross reference on the FT-3500 and there's about 100 compatible replacements available, depending on where you are in the world. I found out previously, that Yanmar filters (what I have) are actually manufactured by WIX, are painted black and in fact, are the OEM. So rather than buying them at and expensive boat store, I get them at a local automotive shop at about half the price... worth looking into; same with the on-block fuel filter.

this is true . Also most parts for our small diesels are available from the local farm and feed store. ( most small diesels are primarily used in the farming and construction industries) .

It's a Fleet Guard filter, I use these on my Kenworth Semi Truck that has a Cummins N-14 engine. You can get Feet Guard filters at any Kenworth dealer.

FT-3500 returns nothing in Fleetguard catalog.

Any link to any database where I can confirm it is a Fleetguard part?

The filter and the box are marked FT-3500.

Alas.

I have tried the above link and it returns nothing on FT-3500.

The filter I was sold is marked FT-3500. I want to know its parameters but cannot find anything FT-3500 online. (Bosch 3500 seems the closest match this far).

What did you enter into the search box that you got 100 compatible matches?
