Where is my Volvo Penta MD22 Diagnostic Connector

Does anyone know where the diagnostic connector is for the MD22P? I'm wanting to connect via https://www.yachtd.com/products/j1708_gateway.html to get NMEA2000 data to my plotter. Thanks for any advice and maybe someone has done this already?

Re: Where is my Volvo Penta MD22 Diagnostic Connector

There isn’t a diagnostic connector on the MD22 engine. It’s strictly a mechanically controlled engine without a ECU/ data bus. No Volvo Penta EDC, EVC or 1708...

You will have to source an aftermarket interface device and wire it to the various sensors you want to monitor.

That'll explain it. Thanks for the insight.
