Where is Yanmar 4JH3E Oil Pressure Sender ?

My oil pressure gauge is giving me strange readings and I suspect the oil pressure sender.

My question is...

Where is the oil pressure sender on a Yanmar 4JH3E?

Thanks

My did this a couple of months ago. Was a frayed wire at the sender The unit is about 1 foot forward of the dipstick. If no frayed wire check the harness connection in the engine box.

The oil pressure sensor on my 2000 Yanmar 4JH3E is cylinder 2 inches aft of my dip stick tube on the starboard side of my engine. It has one sensor wire at the distal end and is threaded into the block. Yanmar part number 119773-91501. I am now on my third oil pressure sensor with a total of 5,000 hrs on my engine. My sensor failures were apparent with flickering and erratic readings on my guage and immediately fixed with the replacement of the sensor.

The internet is a great resource. I have collected most of the manuals for my boat, engine and equipment.

Bookmarking is OK but you might consider saving the pdf to your computer. Sometimes the internet is here today, gone tomorrow. And sometimes you can't get a hookup to the net.
