An issue you will likely encounter if venturing far from developed countries is that often the fuel mixtures are not documented so you really have no idea what you are buying or how much if any ethanol it contains. Example: the gasolinera in the little villiage where I lived for many years in Guatemala dispensed fuel from unmarked 55 gallon drums...using a 1 gallon jug to measure. That set up is not uncommon in Central America.

We ran into the same thing cruising off the common track in The Philippines......that's why we carry (and used) a Baja Filter.
