I agree, it was bad diesel.

I was able to motor home, still using my temporary diesel can feed, and it worked fine even at flank speed. Waiting on new 2 micron filter cartridge for my racor so I can hook back up to the main tank.

I know that this is an old thread, but just had the experience with my 2gm.I found that the governor stop screw had backed off, and was allowing the throttle to open to far. Apparently there is a mechanism in the high pressure pump that shuts it down if over throttled. Once I realized the problem and adjusted the travel on the throttle, engine started and ran normally.
