Yanmar 2QM15 injection pump removal

Hello, I want to remove the pump for servicing at a diesel workshop. The service manual is pretty vague on pump removal. There are the four mounting bolts and studs. Obvious enough. Then there is the injection limiter mechanism which connects with the rack on the pump. Is it necessary to remove the limiter assembly to withdraw the injector pump out of the engine block? Should the engine be rotated to a specific position before attempting to remove inj pump? Any other tricks I should be aware of? Thanks in anticipation of great wisdom forthcoming

Just remove the lines and the 4 bolts. DONT lose the shims. They set the injection timing

On our ysm8 you have to have throttle at idle from memory as you have to fit fuel rack thru hole but don't know 2QM 15.
FYI I rebuilt injection pump myself as they wanted $630 in diesel shop & I did it for about $200. Only the plunger & barrels & delivery valves are likely to be faulty if anything. I didn't think it was that hard to repair if you are clean & careful
But you need to be sure it's knackered, they might test it & say it's ok if they are trustworthy. I did NOT trust the place I took mine to for testing.
If you are doubtful about your ability to do it leave it to the experts. Look up Bosch PFR vid on you tube. Your pump is basically 2 side by side.
Dunno if "great wisdom" lol, describes this post but hopefully it helps
Your2QM15 is not much different but you do need to be careful
